Since Aramaic is featured in each of the three major divisions of the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible – the Torah (Law), Neviim (Prophets) and Ketuvim (Writings), it is not possible to understand the Hebrew Bible in its entirety unless you also understand the sections which are in Aramaic. Therefore, this series of web pages provides an introduction to Biblical Aramaic and background information.

The following introductory lessons on Biblical Aramaic are currently available. Make sure you check back soon, because we are adding new lessons all the time!
